Home Beautification Program

The first program available with Helping Hands is the Senior Home Beautification Program that is being piloted in Athens County. We are currently accepting limited applications for people age 60 and over who are experiencing physical and/or financial difficulty maintaining the exterior of their properties and who are income eligible. We hope to expand this program to other locations and populations as more funding becomes available.

Home Maintenance Program

We are currently seeking funding opportunities to launch our Minor Home Repair Program. This program is designed to assist seniors and people with disabilities by assigning them a handyman to work on those "honey do lists".

Safe at Home Program

It's important to us that seniors and people with disabilities are living safely in their homes. We are currently taking new clients for the Safe at Home Program in Athens County where we use a checklist to do a thorough investigation of any potential safety hazards and provide mitigation measures for those all at no cost to income eligible seniors. Things we look to include fire prevention measures, fall risks, air quality, and pest control.
